A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Helen Achterberg-Pentz

I've circled the subject of team effectiveness and human thriving in various forms almost my entire career, and keep returning to the principles embodied in the Coherence Practice. My experience as business consultant, project/program manager, entrepreneur and business owner has always centred around delivering outcomes with teams... but my interests range broadly, from the practicalities of organisation design, behavioural science, effectiveness and strategic delivery, to belief systems, psychophysiology, neuroscience, the quantum world, how we deal with trauma and ambiguity, and the human story.
For three decades I practiced bringing clarity to confusion and order to chaos, building relationships and directing energy toward purpose, simplifying complexity and discerning subtle patterns beneath organizational noise. Working in spaces where outcomes depended less on mechanics (process, structures, rules) and more on dynamics (how people aligned, trusted, and worked together under pressure), I’ve developed discernment that helps me isolate the systemic and interpersonal incoherences that hinder performance, and I’ve witnessed the potent power of aligned human systems. Team coherence is what truly determines whether teams – and organisations - thrive or fracture… and never more so than today. I'm a compulsive pattern-spotter, meaning-maker and an empathic relationship builder, and I know that our sweet spot as relational beings is the intersection of strategy and soul. I’ve designed the Coherence Practice based on direct experience, but the framework and approach is informed by established research in neuroscience, systems thinking and behavioural science, combined with a resonance-based facilitated process that helps teams access clarity and connection without complexity or jargon. The Coherence Practice is not another management construct — it’s a way of helping people remember how to move together with integrity and clarity. For my clients, this translates to sharper alignment, less friction, and measurable business impact — delivered with simplicity and respect for your context. |
